Getting started
Matching & review
Matching and review
- How matching works Matching compares each staged filename with every published post of the chosen type — its title, and any filename already in the target field — and proposes the best fit with a confidence score.
- Reviewing and fixing the proposed matches Review & Resolve is the table where you accept, reassign or skip each proposed match before anything is written to your site.
- Sending the list to a reviewer, and bringing it back Export the review list, let somebody who knows the documents fill in a column, and import their file — they never need a WordPress login.
Replace & restore
Replacing and rolling back
- Running the replacement Select the rows you want, press Backup & Replace, and each one is backed up and then overwritten in place — same filename, same URL, so nothing else on your site has to change.
- Undoing a replacement, and finishing one Select a replaced row and press Roll Back: an overwritten file is restored from its backup, and a created attachment is deleted and its field put back to what it pointed at before.
Troubleshooting
- "More than one file is matched to the same post" Two or more staged files are proposed for the same destination, so running them would make each overwrite the last — and only the final one would survive. The run is blocked until you resolve it.
- "This file is also used by a post outside this batch" The file you are about to overwrite is also what another post points at, and that post is not in this batch — so the replacement is refused rather than silently changing a page you did not select.
Settings & tools
Settings and diagnostics
- Diagnostics, and reading one before you share it The diagnostic pages show what the plugin actually resolved on your server — paths, batch rows, which files are loaded — and they are off by default because that is more detail than needs to be reachable day to day.
- What each setting changes Nothing on the Settings screen has to be touched for the plugin to work; every value has a default that suits an ordinary site.
