Reviewing and fixing the proposed matches

Quick answer

Review & Resolve is the table where you accept, reassign or skip each proposed match before anything is written to your site.

Matching proposes; it does not decide. Every row arrives with a status, and the two that need you are Needs Review — the plugin was not confident enough — and any row whose proposal you disagree with, whatever its confidence.

What to do with a row

• The match is right. Leave it. Rows at Matched are eligible to run.
• The match is wrong. Search for the correct post in the row's own field and pick it. The status becomes Matched.
• There is no post for this file yet. Set the row to New Page Needed. It will not be processed, and it stays on the list as a reminder that somebody has content work to do.
• You do not want this file in this run. Set it to Skip. Skipped rows move to a separate table below the main one and are never processed.
• The post has no file in that field yet. The row needs Confirmed (New Attachment), which says you have checked and you do want a brand-new attachment created rather than an existing file overwritten.

You can also edit the destination filename on a row, and add a note to yourself.

Sending the list to somebody else

Export to CSV or XLSX, send it to whoever actually knows which document belongs to which page, and import their file back. They never need a WordPress login. The importer matches rows by filename and applies the status, the matched post and the notes.

Two things it will not do. It will not touch a row that is already Combined, Replaced or Verified, because a reviewer working from a file exported an hour ago should not be able to undo work that has already happened. And every row it does change is recorded first, so the success notice carries an Undo this import link that puts every touched row back.

Deleting rows

Selecting rows and choosing Delete removes them and their staged files. It refuses any row that has already been replaced live — those are not gone, they are done, and undoing one is a rollback rather than a deletion.
